Study Visits and Exchanges

As a Department we feel nothing can be more beneficial to our students than experiencing the real way of life of other cultures and we offer a variety of study visits and exchanges to France, Germany, Spain and Italy.

In Year 7, students get a first-hand experience of the language they have learnt during their first year at Arden by being offered the opportunity to visit France during the summer term. This has been an extremely popular study visit and it gives our students that first contact with the target language by allowing them further opportunities to discover the culture and language of the country.

We also organise a study visit to France, Italy and Spain for Key Stage 3. In addition to these visits, we also offer a German exchange with our partner school Albert-Einstein-Gymnasium in Schwalbach am Tanus, Germany. Our German exchange helps our students to be immersed in the language and culture of the country and this has received so many positive reviews from our students.

Our Sixth Formers can also benefit from our varied choice of study visits or work experience by attending our cultural trips to France, Spain or Germany aimed at expanding their cultural knowledge of the language of the country they are studying.
