Arden Values

Arden’s reputation for its academic excellence is well-established.  However, our aim is to send out into the world well-rounded individuals who not only have achieved their very best academically, but have also discovered their potential in every aspect of life.

At our heart sit seven core values which we hope to foster in our young people.  These are:

  • Determination
  • Excellence
  • Courage
  • Inspiration
  • Friendship
  • Equality
  • Respect

Our students are encouraged to build these values in a number of ways during their time at Arden, both inside and outside of the classroom.  Learning For Life is a vital part of this.  During form period (Year 7 – Tuesday, Year 8-11 – Thursday) students complete activities focusing on a number of themes:

  • Transitions
  • Study Skills
  • Emotional Intelligence
  • Employability and Enterprise Skills
  • Academic Reflection

Students work with their Form Tutors to record their progress towards developing these values in their planners (please see the link below).

In addition to this, our Tutorial Worship programme helps students to face modern day issues and dilemmas and ask themselves which Arden Values can be used to deal with that dilemma.
