The recent school production of Into the Woods was a fantastic success. A massive thank you to all the staff, volunteer helpers and students who were involved. This production touched every part of Arden life and was a true reflection of the outstanding Arden team. Please do have a look at some of the amazing photographs that help capture a flavour of this very special production.
As we embrace the opportunities that a new year and new term can bring, it is perhaps fitting to take a moment to reflect on the past year. We welcomed many new students into the Arden family and it has been immensely satisfying to witness how well they have settled into and added to the character of the school.
We also said farewell to students who have achieved phenomenal success in their examinations and are now entering the next chapter of their lives with a firm foundation borne out of being part of such a successful school. It is a source of immense pride how well-prepared our students are to embrace the world of work or further education once they have left Arden. Much of this is due to the hard work and commitment of the staff, not just through the superb quality of teaching but the excellent pastoral care and the many, many extra-curricular activities on offer that provide students with the opportunity to learn valuable life skills. I am exceptionally proud of the students who join the many clubs, groups and forums Arden has to offer, whatever their level of expertise, as they have a desire to participate, enhance their learning experience and improve their skills. These qualities were very much in evidence when we recently welcomed over twenty Headteachers to Arden. During the successful visit, they witnessed the outstanding levels of teaching and learning delivered to all our students, Arden values in action and our excellent student Leadership team who are truly wonderful ambassadors of the school. There will be a further visit in March.
"I am inordinately proud of Arden students and staff who, by working together as a successful and cohesive team, exemplify the Arden values of ‘friendship, respect, excellence, equality, courage, determination and inspiration’. These values are at the very heart of Arden’s ethos and are the code by which we all aspire to live and learn."
“Arden's A Level results are consistently exceptional. Recent pass rates have been in excess of 99% in every single A Level subject'.”
