The autumn term is the beginning of what promises to be another exciting year. We are looking forward to welcoming the newest members into the Arden family; our Year 7 pupils and Year 12 students from other schools. While starting a new school may feel daunting, I am confident that everyone will settle in well and enjoy this new chapter in their academic life.
As autumn approaches and we bid farewell to summer, it is tempting to look back at what an outstanding time this has been. Arden’s results have been superb again this year. I extremely proud of the Class of 2016 whose progress and value added scores are the best we have seen. Almost 100% of our pupils achieved 5 A*- C GCSE grades or equivalent. Of these 80% achieved A*-C in English and Mathematics. Our results at A* are once again well above the national average and the percentage has increased at a time where the national average has dropped. Our Year 13 students, some 170 students (the highest number on record at Arden) also performed incredibly well in their A Level examinations recording a pass rate of 99.6% with well over half of our students gaining the prestigious A*-B grades.
"I am inordinately proud of Arden students and staff who, by working together as a successful and cohesive team, exemplify the Arden values of ‘friendship, respect, excellence, equality, courage, determination and inspiration’. These values are at the very heart of Arden’s ethos and are the code by which we all aspire to live and learn."
“Arden's A Level results are consistently exceptional. Recent pass rates have been in excess of 99% in every single A Level subject'.”
