Key Stage Information

At Arden, we feel that all students should have a wide and varied experience within their academic studies. With this in mind the Design and Technology (D&T) Department are continually working and developing ideas to give students knowledge, understanding and an enjoyable experience.

During KS3 students cover the areas of Resistant Materials, Graphics, Electronics, CADCAM, Food and Textiles.

At KS4 students are given the opportunity to study GCSEs in Resistant Materials, Home Economics, Catering, Textiles, Graphics, Product Design and BTEC Construction.

At KS5 there is also the opportunity to study A Level Product Design (Resistant Materials, Graphics or Textiles) and A Level Home Economics

Key Stage 3 Design & Technology covers an exciting number of subjects; Food, Product Design and Textiles.

Key Stage 5

Home Economics and Product Design are available to Sixth Form students, both subjects offering an exciting and challenging course content.
