Applications to start Arden in Year 7 – September 2021

Applications for places in Year 7 at Arden for September 2021 need to be made via Solihull Local Authority.

If you live outside Solihull you must apply to your home Local Authority even if you want to include Arden on your application. 

The closing date for applications is 31st October 2020.


Information for Parents/Guardians of Children Starting Year 7 at Arden, September 2021

Prior to May half term, we will be sending our first communication, by post, to the parent/guardian who applied/accepted an offer for a school place for their child at Arden for Year 7 in September 2021.  If you have not received this letter by 7th June 2021, please contact Janet McCrone (Admissions Officer) – 01564 732628.

Please contact Solihull Local Authority’s School Admissions Team for guidance on applying for a place at Arden at any other time after the normal intake.

If your child currently attends a school outside Solihull, you should contact that school’s Local Authority.



If you are not offered a place at this school you have the right of appeal against the decision not to allocate a place to your child.  Appeals are heard by an independent panel.  You can get an appeal form from Solihull Council website

Depending on Covid-19 restrictions your appeal will be heard as soon as reasonably practical.  We aim to hear all appeals submitted by the deadline before 21st July 2021

Change of school (application at any time other than normal intake)

20 school days after your outcome letter

30 school days after your appeal form has been received or as soon as reasonably practical

Appeals received after the deadline will be heard within the schedule, if possible. However, if the form is received in late June the appeal may not be heard until after the school summer holidays.  Appeals are not heard during the school holidays.
