Soluna by Kooth–Mental Health and Wellbeing Support
Soluna by Kooth is a free, online mental health and wellbeing support service that we signpost our students to. It provides young people with a safe, confidential space to access information, resources and professional support for a range of issues, including anxiety, exam stress, friendship difficulties and feeling overwhelmed.
Soluna is available through a web browser or mobile app and can be accessed directly by young people. No referral is required and there are no waiting lists.
Provided in partnership with the NHS and local councils, Soluna retains the trusted clinical model, safeguarding standards, governance and professional support previously provided through Kooth.
Soluna offers:
-
Professional support: BACP-accredited one-to-one text chats with qualified practitioners, available every day until 10pm, including weekends.
-
Evidence-based resources: Self-help tools, activities and information developed by clinical experts.
-
Safe peer communities: Age-appropriate, pre-moderated spaces where young people can share experiences and support one another.
-
Easy access: Students can access the service independently without a referral or waiting list.
Support within school
Soluna is one of a number of sources of support available to our students. If a student has a concern about their mental health or wellbeing, they can speak to a Form Tutor, Head of Year or any member of the Pastoral Team. They can also speak to another trusted member of staff, who can help them identify the most appropriate support.
Students will receive further information about Soluna and how to access it during form time.
