Arden – Year 11 GCSE Results 2019
We are thrilled to announce the great success of our Year 11 cohort of 2019. The hard work and dedication of our students and staff has again resulted in some fantastic GCSE results. With 87% of students achieving their grade 4-9 in English and Maths and a figure of 68% achieving the same at level 5, this cohort of students has much to look forward to on the next phase of their learning journey.
As with our A Level results last week, this set of results are a huge achievement for every student, member of staff and parent/guardian who have worked tirelessly over the last 5 years to reach this point. As a school we place great value on our academic success and the academic reputation that we have, all of which is achieved through hard work and real dedication to ensure that we all achieve our collective goals. Today’s achievements are the reward for all of this hard work.
All of our students are now equipped to go onto the next phase of their learning; the majority of who will now be making their way down to enroll into our Sixth Form to carry on their learning at A Level in September. For those who are now moving onto pastures new, we wish you all the very best of luck and success in all that you do and sincerely hope that you will take much from your time at Arden, having grown and developed here.
The list of individual accolades and accomplishments is enormous and could go onto several pages. We will be able to celebrate many of these successes in November at our Presentation Evening, but for now we would like to recognise and congratulate the phenomenal performances of the following students who have topped the tables in terms of their attainment:
- Zoe Wilkinson - 8 x Grade 9 and 2 x Grade 8
- Isabel Ingram - 7 x Grade 9, 2 x Grade 8 and 1 x Grade 6
- Jess Scott - 5 x Grade 9 and 5 x Grade 8
- Tom Roberts - 6 x Grade 9, 1 x Distinction, 2 x Grade 8 and 1 x Grade 7
- Corey Allen - 5 x Grade 9, 3 x Grade 8 and 2 x Grade 7
- Tom Batchelor - 6 x Grade 9, 2 x Grade 8, 1 x Grade 7 and 1 x Grade 6
We also want to congratulate the following students who have demonstrated the most progress in their learning between Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 4:
Jess Scott, Zak Fatta, Gabriel Schroeter, Archie Kindon, Vareesha Khan, Lily Schroeter, Eve Westman and Josie Wheelhouse.
Once again, well done and congratulations to all. The results today are an achievement and a triumph for our school and the teamwork ethos that we hold so dearly. Thank you to our parents/guardians for all that you do and for instilling the value of education so securely in your children. Thank you to our staff who, day in and day out, go well beyond the normal expectations to ensure our students are expertly taught and as well cared for and prepared as they can be. Finally, thank you to our students who have worked tirelessly, demonstrated great resilience and who thoroughly deserve their great success.
