Tutorial Programme

Our tutorial programme is one of the most important ways in which we develop the culture and ethos within the Sixth Form.

From initial work to help students make the transition between Year 11 to careers advice and activities to help them decide on future aspirations, time spent with tutors is a way of embedding key messages as well as developing the relationships between staff and students that are so essential at this stage.

This year, Year 12 will cover areas such as Developing Emotional Agility; Creating Goals; Using Unifrog; Alcohol and Drugs education; Stress Management; Revision Strategies. We listen carefully to the views of students and try to adapt the programme as is needed. Sessions are based on a variety of resources from different areas. We encourage interactivity and involvement in these sessions: be warned!

The relationship with your tutor is a central one within your life at Arden. They will be there for every day of your academic life and will, for most of you, write the reference that will help you gain your university place, apprenticeship or job. Everything that is covered during these sessions is an invaluable part of developing into a successful Arden student.
