Congratulations to Year 11 students
Following on from last week's SUPERB A-level results, we are delighted to announce this year's GCSE success. Once again almost 100% of our pupils achieved 5 A*- C GCSE grades or equivalent. Of these over 80% achieved the gold standard of 5 A*- C including English and Mathematics. The students have reached their challenging targets and we are particularly pleased that we have achieved such truly impressive results when the bar is being significantly raised nationally and the exam system has seen dramatic change.
Congratulations to every student in the Class of 2015 your parents should be very proud of your achievements. We have seen breathtaking performance in all areas of GCSE and the vocational examination subjects and this has been down to the hard work and determination of our fantastic students.
Our students continue to excel at the top grades of A* and A with almost a third of our students achieving these grades in 8 or more of their subjects.
There have also been many individual success stories. The following students gained at least 9 A* or A grades: Alice Allen, Benjamin Arnold, Nicole Beard, Uthmaan Binamin, Charlotte Bowen, Joe Craven, Fiona Foulkes, Samuel Gardiner, Megan Hathaway, Olivia Johansson, Rebecca Johnson, Annabelle Lyons, Martha Maurice-Smith, Caitlin McDonald, Benjamin Merrel, Katie Mladenovic, Emily Moise, Ellie Rylah, Annabelle Seaward, Beatrice Sher, Joseph Shirley, Amy Swift, and Miranda Yates.
However, the most outstanding results were achieved by Callum Beddoes, Emily Dekker and Diana Wheatley who all gained 10 A* & 1 A grade.
I must also thank all my colleagues who are an outstanding team of staff who guided, coached and inspired our students through five years of learning. Without their professional expertise, stamina and endless patience these results would not have been achieved.
We are also looking forward to welcoming and celebrating their fantastic success over the next two days as they enrol with students from other schools in the area into our Sixth Form. We are anticipating the highest intake in the history of Arden.
The Class of 2015 is a delightful group of young people and their achievements are well deserved. Their impact across Arden has been exceptional – all are outstanding Arden Ambassadors – really well done and thank you. We wish every one of them all the very best for the future and every success in their lives ahead.
