A Level Results 2019
We are all very proud of our A Level cohort of 2019! We pride ourselves on our strong academic record and, as a highly successful academic school, we are over the moon to have seen an increase in the number of top grades achieved against a national landscape of less A* and A grades being awarded. We are delighted to report that over a quarter of our grades were at the highest A*/A grades, with half of our grades being at the A*- B level. We are very pleased that the hard work of our students and staff has paid off with such fantastic results. In addition to the grades mentioned above we are pleased to note that over 75% of our grades were at A*- C level, with almost 100% of our entries achieving a pass.
On results days it is easy to forget the huge amounts of hard work and dedication that have gone into achieving these wonderful grades. To that end we want to extend our thanks to our incredible teachers, our brilliant and committed parents and of course, most importantly, our fantastic students who have worked so hard in pursuing their dreams.
These A Level grades now provide the springboard to a range of exciting opportunities that lie ahead for our students with some fantastic destinations being achieved; some students are off to universities all over the country, others going onto Higher Level Apprenticeships and some going on planned gap years adventures which will take them all over the world. This year we see two students, Sam Jones and Will Randell taking up places at Oxford (Biology) and Cambridge (English) Universities respectively.
As well as the collective success mentioned, we are also very proud of our students as individuals. Behind each and every grade is a personal story; today’s results are a reward for the hard work within those stories, so once again well done to all. Kyle Watt has achieved a staggering 4 A* in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Psychology and will now go off to study Mechanical Engineering at University of Bath and Uwais Binamin has achieved a fantastic 3 A* in Biology, Chemistry and Further Maths and will now be studying Dentistry at University of Birmingham. In addition to these the following students achieved a collection of all A* and A grades:
