Uniform requirements for boys

Academic Uniform

Blazer

School green, complete with pocket badge. A blazer is compulsory between Years 7-11

Tie

Only the school tie is acceptable and worn in a tidy knot no more than 4cm across and 7 stripes in length

Trousers

Black or dark grey, regulation school-style trouser

Socks

Black or dark grey

Shirt

White, with a collar that is fully buttoned to the neck

Shoes

Black only, of a solid, robust and traditional style.  Shoes that look like trainers, trainers and sport branded shoes are not permitted.

Jumper

Years 7-9 grey with green/gold/green band. Years 10-11 plain bottle green

Scarf

Plain black or bottle green

Outdoor coat

Pupils may wear an overcoat which is completely plain and of a single restrained colour, without pattern or obvious motif

Jewellery

No piercings or jewellery are permitted, other than a watch with a plain strap. 

Hair

No extreme hair styles are allowed eg tramlines or colours

Summer Uniform

Summer shirt

During summer, boys may wear a white short-sleeved shirt buttoned to the neck with a tie. Jumpers are optional however a blazer must be worn

Physical Education Uniform

Shoes

A pair of clean, laced trainers  should be kept for indoor/outdoor use

PE Top*

Bottle green polo shirt with school logo.  GCSE or Diploma PE students may wear a black polo with the correct logo

Socks

Short, white

Shorts*

Black, rugby-style shorts

Rugby shirt*

Bottle green/gold falcon style

Quarter zip sweatshirt*

Green and gold (optional)

Bag

Any plain zipped bag (NOT a plastic carrier bag)

Rugby socks

Bottle green and gold sock

Shin pads/Gum shield

Any - must be worn for contact sports unless consent not to wear is provided by parent

Tracksuit bottoms*

Plain black with/without Arden embroidery (NO stripes, logos or piping allowed)

*These items should be embroidered with the pupil's initials

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT ALL PERSONAL BELONGINGS ARE CLEARLY MARKED WITH THE OWNER’S FULL NAME (THIS IS IN ADDITION TO THE INITIALS EMBROIDERED ON THE OUTSIDE)
