Visit to Cambridge University
Thirty linguists from Year 9 visited Girton College, Cambridge on Wednesday 20 January to find out more about studying languages.
They were given an introduction to studying at Cambridge University and then met two of the Girton Fellows to work on an introduction to the Italian language and translating Harry Potter into French.
After a hearty lunch they were taken on a tour of Cambridge by current undergraduates. It was an extremely enjoyable day - despite our long delay on the motorway - and has made our students think about their opportunities for future study.
