Principal's welcome

A new year and a new term - a time of immense promise and potential. There is much to anticipate in the weeks and months ahead, I am particularly looking forward to the production of ‘Fame’ which will take place in February. An event such as this encapsulates all that is great about Arden; teamwork, commitment, dedication and the nurturing of talent, be it on stage or behind the scenes.

In its broadest sense, education is the provision of knowledge, skills, values and beliefs - a conviction I wholeheartedly support and one that I believe is a great strength throughout Arden.

Arden is renowned for its superb examination results, 2014 saw Year 11 and Year 13 students excel again however it is the strength of our extra-curricular activities that also give me immense pride. The levels our students achieve in their chosen fields are quite amazing; we have sportsmen and women who participate at local, county and international level and an astonishing variety of talent in the performing arts arena. However I am equally proud of the students who join the many clubs, groups and forums Arden has to offer whatever their level of expertise because they have a desire to participate, learn and improve.
