Francesco Group is the fourth largest hairdressing company in the UK with over 31 salons across the Midlands and four academies of educational excellence. We also currently work in partnership with 10 colleges across the UK to develop professional working environments for learners in hairdressing.
Francesco Group are known nationally as one of the best hairdressing training providers, we aim to ensure that there is a training programme personalised and available for every suitable applicant whether on the first steps to becoming a hairdresser or a more advanced stylist/colourist requiring some inspiration.
City and Guilds have a new qualification which is on the foundation learning tier called - An Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector has three levels that can be achieved; thus allowing learners to study at their own pace with more flexible routes to gaining the full qualification.
To achieve the Certificate or Diploma in hairdressing learners will need to complete a minimum of 5 to 12 units depending on the credit size:-

Unit 101 – Introduction into the hair and beauty sector
Unit 102 – Presenting a Professional image in as salon
You choose a number of optional units, depending on credit size from:
Unit 003 – Shampooing and conditioning
Unit 005 – Colour in the Hair and Beauty sector
Unit 103 – Styling women’s Hair
Unit 105 – Plaiting and twisting hair
Unit 106 – Basic Make-up Application
Unit 109 – Providing Basic Manicure Applicationo
Unit 111 – Colour hair using Temporary Colour
Unit 112 – Create a Hair and Beauty Image
Unit 113 – Follow Health and Safety in the salon
Unit 114 - Salon reception duties
Unit 115 – Working with others
This level 2 Diploma in Hair Services is a vocational qualification which focuses on the development of the underlying principles and practical skills required in the industry. It is designed to deliver occupational capability and provide a sound platform from which to enter into employment or progress onto further learning or training.
A minimum of 41 credits is required to achieve the level 2 Diploma in Hair Services. All mandatory units must be achieved which is 35 credits and a minimum of 6 credits from the optional units.

Gain the skills you need to work in a hairdressing salon - everything from shampooing, cutting, perming and colouring to demonstrating techniques to others.
For anyone who's serious about a hairdressing. There are options to suit individual needs and aspirations - and if you're already working in hairdressing, you could develop your skills to become a senior stylist.
