Design and Technology

At Arden, we feel that all students should have a wide and varied experience within their academic studies. With this in mind the Design and Technology (D&T) Department are continually working and developing ideas to give students knowledge, understanding and an enjoyable experience.

During KS3 students cover the areas of Resistant Materials, Graphics, Electronics, CADCAM, Food and Textiles.

At KS4 students are given the opportunity to study GCSEs in Resistant Materials, Home Economics, Catering, Textiles, Graphics, Product Design and BTEC in Engineering.

There is also the opportunity to further their understanding with Product Design within the Sixth Form.
